In the Cyanotype Workshop "Cyanotype on Paper and Fabric" with Inês in Porto, Portugal, you will go back in history almost 200 years to learn about the history of photography before cameras were invented. You will learn how the pioneers discovered light sensitive materials and what uses they had throughout history.
You will work with the original recipe from the inventor of cyanotype Sir John Herschel, explore its endless possibilities and dive into the creative process of producing images with light.
You will be challenged to experiment on paper and fabric and create unique compositions.
This photographic technique is non-toxic. It can be done under the sun (with no camera or equipment) and can be used on multiple supports like paper, fabric, wood, metal and even ceramics.
Its characteristic blue color makes it unique and is one of the reasons for its prestige.
You will be able to walk out of the Cyanotype Workshop with all the knowledge you need to print cyanotypes at home and give wings to your creativity!
