During Bárbara’s Jewelry Workshop "Create Your Own Macramé Amulet" in Porto, Portugal, you explore and embrace your creative side through colors and textures while listening to music and tasting homemade snacks.
The artist teaches you essential macramé knots and you learn how to wrap a cabochon stone with waxed threads.
You are also able to choose the stone and thread you like, and discover which colors and minerals you are spontaneously drawn to, as well as their meaning and what it reveals about you.
Bárbara shares her own life story, inspiration and workflow with you. You are able to discuss the importance of creativity in your daily life and how art making impacts you.
The Jewelry Workshop takes place in a safe and cozy environment at Bárbara's home and is designed for everyone regardless of their age, gender, and art background.
This is an experience where everyone can be an artist!
About the artist:
Bárbara Teixeira is a nurse and an artisan based in Porto.
Because of her calling to be true to herself in a daily scientific environment, she created Sartyam: A jewelry and crafts project that connects her to her inner creativity and promotes her self-discovery through creative work and art materials.
