Reconnect with nature through illustration in this outdoor workshop dedicated to observing and capturing the unique shapes of trees. The experience unfolds in two parts:
First, we focus on drawing using the crosshatching technique to create volume and texture. Once the structure is complete, we explore color freely with watercolors, crafting beautiful and personal color schemes.
This Illustration Workshop is perfect for anyone who wants to slow down, connect with nature, and enjoy the playful process of working with colors.
About the artist:
"Hello!
I'm Sarai, also known as el Pez Melón on social media. I’m an illustrator and ceramist living in La Bisbal d'Empordà, a charming town near Girona, Spain. My artistic journey is deeply rooted in landscapes - both urban and natural. Over the past 8 years, I've been part of the Urban Sketchers community, and in 2020, I published my first book, El Baix Empordà dibuixat, a collection of drawings capturing the essence of the Costa Brava, the beautiful region I call home.
After the book’s release, I was often asked to teach my drawing techniques, which naturally led me to become a teacher. Inspired by nature, I have illustrated almost every tree, rock, and beach around me. I invite you to join me in discovering and drawing the stunning landscapes of my home."
