Julia Praschma lives and works as a freelance illustrator and designer in Berlin. Originally from the Ruhr area, she learned to fill the world around her - also through her illustrations - with color and positivity.

She sees herself as a hippie clown punk barbie who loves to share resources, ideas and sometimes her lunch. Spreading good vibes is her profession. Many years of yoga and meditation practice have helped her to be calm and to stay present. But she also feels very comfortable in the midst of hustle and bustle, deadlines and mosh pits.

All these opposites are reflected in her work, which is characterized by a variety of themes, luminous colors and wild compositions.
Her specialty is to push the boundaries of collage by using photographic material playfully combined with illustrative elements.

She mainly works in the areas "Editorial" and "Branding". She now produces her works digitally, but always returns to analog. Collage is an additional field of experience, in which the participants intuitively get to immerse themselves.

Simple tools such as paper, scissors, cutters and glue invite them to do so.
Contrary to our on-screen work, collage is a possibility to experience things with your hands, to deconstruct material and to create your own new compositions.

Creating paper collages is relaxing. The participants are invited to engage in a meditative process, switch off, let go of everyday stress and to enjoy themselves with images and forms.

At the end of the workshop, the participants can take home one (or more) finished paper collage(s), created by themselves.
Experimentation is clearly in the foreground here, detached from the pressure to fulfill a task or to produce a finished end product.

It is important to artist Julia to create a relaxed ambiance and a nonjudgmental space with the opportunity for an open and interesting exchange.
