In this hands-on ceramics workshop in Madrid, you will

  • Choose your motifs: Learn the basics of design and selection of themes for your ceramic piece.

  • Stencil your drawing: Use professional techniques to transfer your design onto a ceramic plate.

  • Paint with engobes: Understand how to use different colors and textures to paint and personalize your plate or decorative ceramic piece.

Once your creation is completed, you can use your ceramic plate for daily use or display it as a stunning wall decoration (small format).

About the Artist:

 

The workshop is led by Andrea Santamarina, a renowned designer and ceramic artist based in Madrid. With a focus on collectible ceramic design and a passion for preserving the tradition of drawing on ceramics, Andrea brings a wealth of experience to this unique artistic experience.

She has collaborated with the prestigious San Ginés Ceramic Workshop (National Craft Award, Talavera de la Reina) and is represented by the Rossana Orlandi Gallery in Milan and Mint Gallery in London.

Her work merges Mediterranean cultural heritage with contemporary design, offering participants a deep dive into the rich history of ceramics.

If you’re unable to pick up your finished piece from the workshop, Andrea offers shipping services for your convenience for an additional fee, so you can have your handmade ceramic art delivered directly to your home.
