Whether you're looking to explore a new craft, host a special event, or plan a creative team-building experience, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to create your own custom rug. Julie can also come to your location!

What to Expect in the 4 hours Tufting Workshop "Create Your Own Rug" with Julie in Barcelona:

Get hands-on experience with the art of tufting during this 4-hour workshop, perfectly structured to guide you through the rug-making process:

• Introduction to Tufting:
  Learn the basics of tufting, including the tools and materials you'll use.
  
  
• Master the Tufting Gun:
  Discover how to use the AK-I cut-pile tufting gun and start creating your rug (approximately 45x45 cm).
  
  
• Design Your Rug:
  Choose your design and send it to us at least 48 hours before the workshop.
  
  
• Step-by-Step Guidance:
  Follow Julie's expert guidance as you trace your design onto tufting cloth, create fluffy shapes, and finish your rug with carpet glue.

All materials are included, and a delightful coffee break is provided to keep your creativity flowing!

Attendee Instructions

To make the most of your time, please choose a simple design (maximum of 4 colors) that can be completed within 4 hours. You'll receive a pre-workshop PDF with tips on how to design your ideal rug. Be sure to send your design at least 48 hours before the workshop so we can prepare.

After the workshop, we'll handle the final trimming and finishing touches on your rug, allowing the glue to dry thoroughly. You'll be notified when your rug is ready for pickup, along with helpful tips for future rug-making projects.

Please note: For more intricate designs, additional hours or a second class can be arranged.

Julie, the creative force behind JÜdesigns, is a graphic and textile designer based in Barcelona, Spain. With roots in Luxembourg, Julie combines her passion for design, textiles, and art to create contemporary hand-tufted rugs and vibrant wallpaper designs. Her work is a blend of modern aesthetics and personal expression, making her workshops a truly inspiring experience.
