About the artists and hosts:

"We are Helena and Matilde, a mother-daughter team bringing together a love for textile traditions, nature, and local culture.

Helena grew up in Lisbon, where she studied languages and handweaving, and has been living in Evoramonte for over 40 years, deepening her connection with agriculture and textile crafts.
Matilde, born in Evoramonte, grew up surrounded by yarns, plants, and languages, studied translation, and trained in weaving with her mother before returning to her hometown to continue this artistic tradition.

Together, we offer workshops in German, English, and French, combining traditional techniques with international accessibility."
