About the artists:
Kevin and Laura are the team behind « Éditions N'importe Quoi », an independent micro publishing project that creates artist books, fanzines, sketchbooks and everything that can be made with paper.
Their motto is to build and craft everything out of leftovers.
Therefore, Laura and Kevin set up partnerships with a wide number of projects and companies from which they collect their leftovers and create books out of them. The threads that they use to sew their own books is an actual heritage from their grandmothers.

I spent the all afternoon with Kevin and Laura who have welcomed me at their workshop located close to a printing company from which they get a lot of their raw material, so they create and think about their book binding based on the ressources that already exist ... I really loved to learn about their philosophy and ethics of work, from the start (raw material) to the final notebook that we handle in our hand when finishing the workshop. They show how book binding is accessible to anyone, fun and both pragmatic and creative.They are very professional in what they do , passionated and animated by a sincere desire to transmit their knowledge. I can only recomend this experience that I would definitely re-do if possible ... and will probably sooner or later ! Thanks again for your patience, generosity and the sweet afternoon in Caldas da Rainha.
