About the artist:

Nature is a source of inspiration and motivation for the Porto-based artist Sara Bacalhau. The slow process of creating ceramics is something she finds both challenging and fulfilling. 

Back in 2020, Sara went to a workshop where she experimented with clay for the very first time. 

Ever since she's never stopped experimenting with her favorite material. And one day in 2022, she finally decided to quit college, to build a ceramic studio at her home and to start hosting her own ceramic workshops.

Amazing workshop with the best teacher

This was my first time doing ceramics and doing a workshop like this and I absolutely loved it. I booked a private class with Sara and it was amazing. She explained everything very well and was very nice and encouraging the whole time. She really made me feel more confident and comfortable. Besides how fun and good the workshop itself was, Sara herself was the most amazing part. She is and incredibly hard-working and kind person and I had an incredible time with her. For anyone scared to try it, honestly just do it. It’s so fun and calming, no expectations. Thank you so much Sara, you really made my trip <3

Foi um experiência muito divertida e animada onde pudemos dar asas à nossa criatividade e fazer 2 peças em barro, uma à mão e a outra na roda.
Realizei o workshop na companhia de duas amigas o que tornou tudo muito mais divertido.
A Sara é muito atenciosa e simpática e ensinou-nos as técnicas básicas da cerâmica de modo a conseguimos criar a nossa peça.

Uma manhã diferente e super criativa na presença de duas amigas espetaculares. O ambiente é super descontraído e animado que faz com que a nossa criatividade venha ao de cima com facilidade.
A Sara ensina-nos todas as técnicas que precisamos para moldar o barro e criarmos a nossa peça.
Aconselho vivamente a fazerem este workshop se gostarem de explorar o vosso lado criativo e se quiserem ter um dia diferente do normal :)
