Ceramic Workshop "Discovering Ceramics" with Daisy in Tomar, Portugal

Discover the World of Ceramics with beautiful creative soul Daisy!

During Daisy’s 3 hour Ceramic Workshop "Discovering Ceramics" in Tomar, Portugal, you learn hand building techniques such as coils and slabs.

You will be able to create a piece of your choice: A mug, a bowl, a small vase, a candleholder, a plant pot, or an abstract form of your choice.

The type of clay you will be using is high-fired stoneware clay. Daisy teaches you the basics of this wonderful material, which she will then fire and glaze for you after you created your unique piece of art.

The artist will inform you when it is ready to be picked up or will post it to your home address for an additional fee.

About the artist:

Daisy was born in Lisbon, Portugal, to British parents. She attended the French education system, and discovered a desire to start making art, which led her to Cardiff, Wales, where she graduated from Cardiff School of Art and Design, before returning back to her home country Portugal.

Her practice touches upon multiple art platforms, in particular: photography, drawing, and ceramics.

Discovering ceramics has given her a way to become even more deeply involved with other people’s lives. It enables her to bring physical, usable objects into their surroundings.

Daisy focuses on people’s interactions, and how objects can have an impact on people’s states of mind, be they positive or, at times, negative.
