In this creative team-building workshop in Flensburg, your team comes together to paint a large abstract artwork. Guided by artists Katharina Jensen and Anastasia Sawall, you’ll experiment with colors, textures and different painting techniques while creating one unique collaborative piece of art.

No artistic experience is needed. The focus is on having fun together, getting creative and creating something that everyone has contributed to. At the end, you’ll have a one-of-a-kind team artwork that you can take back to your office and display.

🎨 How the creative team workshop works

The workshop begins with a short introduction to abstract painting, the materials and different techniques you can use.

Then it’s time to get creative.

Everyone works together on the same large canvas. Each person adds their own colours, shapes, marks and ideas while the artwork gradually develops as a shared piece.

Katharina and Anastasia guide you throughout the workshop, introduce simple techniques and give you inspiration whenever you need it.

The result is a completely unique collaborative team painting created by your entire group.

🖌️ No painting experience required

You don’t need to know how to draw or paint.

Abstract art is particularly well suited to beginner-friendly team building, because there is no pressure to create a realistic image or achieve a “perfect” result. You can experiment freely with colours, shapes, textures and different tools.

Whether you consider yourself creative or haven’t held a paintbrush since school, everyone can take part.

🎨 Explore different art materials

You’ll have access to a wide range of materials, including:

• Acrylic paints
• Brushes in different sizes
• Palette knives and spatulas
• Chalks
• Texture pastes
• Various tools and materials for experimentation

Try different techniques or stick to the ones you enjoy most – there are no rules and no pressure.

🖼️ Create your team artwork

The size of the canvas is agreed with your group in advance, depending on the number of participants and where you would like to display the finished artwork.

A single canvas can be up to 100 × 150 cm.

Alternatively, you can create a triptych made from three canvases, which together form one large artwork.

Your finished painting can become a colourful and personal addition to your office, meeting room or shared company space.

📍 A creative studio instead of a conference room

The workshop takes place at HELENE in Flensburg, a creative space where artists and other creatives work.

Instead of a typical conference room, you’ll spend your team event in a relaxed studio atmosphere where you can move around freely, experiment and connect with your colleagues.

🎧 Optional DJ

Do you want to add some extra energy to your company event in Flensburg?

You can optionally book a DJ who will provide music throughout the workshop, creating a relaxed atmosphere while still leaving plenty of space to talk and connect with your team.
