Join Chila for an unforgettable workshop in the western adaptation of the Japanese Raku technique. This fascinating process involves glazing pre-fired ceramic pieces, firing them in a kiln, and then placing the glowing hot ceramics into buckets of sawdust. The resulting fire and smoke trigger unique reactions that create stunning crackles, bold stains, and vivid colors — from turquoise to red, from black to white. The final shock of cold water sets the design in place, leaving every piece beautifully unpredictable.

Chila is a passionate young ceramicist based in Ericeira, Portugal. Deeply inspired by nature, she collects local clays and transforms them into expressive works through both sculpture and glaze. Her art blends tradition, exploration, and personal storytelling — offering a genuine connection to the raw materials of her homeland.

🕒 Session Options:

• Short Session (3h): Glaze and fire a set of 2 small bowls – €50 per person (group)
  
  
• Full Session (5h): Glaze and fire 1 bowl, 1 cup, and 2 small bowls – €70 per person (group)
  
  
• Extra Piece: + €10 each
  
  
• 2-Session Package:
  • Session 1 (3h): Model your own ceramic pieces
