About the hosts Marika and Ivika:
Marika and Ivika opened their handicraft studio in 2011 with a vision to revitalize the Noarootsi region and share the culture and crafts of the Coastal Swedes.
Their passion for ceramics quickly grew into weekly craft workshops, and as their community expanded, so did the need for more space. They transformed the old basement of their studio into a textile craft and training center, and since then, have hosted numerous workshops in various handicraft disciplines.
In addition to ceramics, Marika and Ivika have organized children’s craft circles and community craft gatherings, blending modern technology with traditional craftsmanship to support the growth of these timeless skills.
Living in the beautiful yet remote countryside of Noarootsi, they have embodied the courage to bring their creative ideas to life, inspiring others to do the same.
