Art Nouveau-inspired Pottery Workshop and Spanish Aperitivo with Yvonne in Barcelona, Spain

Join Yvonne in her colorful sunny studio in the Sagrada Familia area for a fun and relaxing pottery workshop. Can you think of a better plan after visiting two amazing monuments, such as Sagrada Familia and Hospital de Sant Pau, than using all that inspiration to do a ceramics workshop where you can unleash your creativity?

In this 2.5 h Pottery Workshop you will learn how to make a stoneware piece using different hand building techniques. Yvonne will also teach you different ways to decorate your piece while chatting and enjoying a Spanish aperitivo and some drinks.

After the workshop, Yvonne will fire the pieces and will inform you when they are ready for pick up, usually 2-3 weeks' time after the class. If you live abroad, you can get your piece shipped to your home for an additional cost (this can be requested during the workshop).

About the artist:

Yvonne is a Barcelona based ceramicist. She grew up in the Sagrada Familia neighbourhood, surrounded by Art Nouveau buildings, whose shapes and colours amazed her from an early age. This influence is clearly visible in her work, which is dominated by rounded shapes, colours and geometries. In her small studio, Atelier Textura, located just three streets away from the impressive Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site, she produces her work, hosts workshops and has a small showroom. She works mainly with hand building and slip casting.

Length of workshop: 2.5 - 3 hours, depending on the piece made.

Location: At the "Atelier Textura" in carrer Lepant, 08025, Barcelona, Spain.

Price per person: € 60, includes all materials, the use of an apron, a Spanish aperitivo and drinks.

Minimum advance booking time: 2 weeks
