Porto Tiles and Tea Workshop mit Francisco in Porto, Portugal

The class was fun and very educational! Francisco was very nice and helpful. The served tea was a great additional touch. You don't need to be artsy in order to attend as the steps are very well explained. Would love to come back once I visit Porto again.

Our group loved this class! Francisco did a great job teaching the class about the history of tile making, and telling us about his family's connection to tile making in Porto. We enjoyed painting our own tiles and were able to purchase some ceramic pieces from other artists in the studio. From start to finish, everything was well thought out. This was a very unique experience and would definitely recommend this to others!

We loved learning about the history, meanings, and techniques behind all the tiles we’ve seen here in Porto. Not only do we see tiles in a new way now, but we had a great time experimenting with a new art form and now have a unique souvenir to take home with us. Absolutely recommend.

I cannot recommend this class enough! It started with an excellent presentation about tiles. I learnt so much about the history of tiles in Portugal, the different styles, ways to make them and locations around the country to see beautiful tiles. We enjoyed a delicious local tea during the presentation. Then we proceeded to the tile making part of the class. I really enjoyed using the different stencils and blue paint. Francisco was super helpful and encouraged creativity! The class was the perfect length. We weren’t able to get our tiles the following day due to another tour planned and the studio was so helpful arranging an alternative pick up time. I cannot recommend enough. I have already sent the class sign up to a friend! Enjoy your class!!
