🎨 About the artist

Meet Ivo, a master painter and sculptor with over forty years of high-level practice, whose work has been showcased internationally and featured in collaboration with Madrid’s renowned Museo del Prado.

Trained “in situ” by Spain’s greatest living maestros, he honed a uniquely technical yet sensitive touch. After more than a decade on Spain’s Costa Valenciana, Sirakov now immerses himself in Italy’s artistic heritage, leading workshops and creative retreats amid the rolling hills of Piedmont.

1. SEE: Mindful observation of landscape and architectural details

• DAY BY DAY PROGRAM
  

Day 1
Welcome session with Ivo and an introduction to the classical Italian landscape and the techniques you’ll be using.

Day 2
Outdoor compositional sketches with lessons on linear and aerial perspective, followed by demonstrations and corrections in the castle gardens.

Day 3
Transfer your sketch to the final support, build your composition, then explore color theory through practical exercises and critique.

Day 4
Apply your first layers of paint, experiment with simplified palettes, and study natural light and tonal values inthe open air.

Day 5
Finalize your work by mastering chromatic values, then learn watercolor glazing techniques and the use of historical pigments and binders.

Day 6
Put final touches on your paintings, participate in a critique session, and showcase your work in a closing exhibition with a farewell cocktail.
