What Is The Alhambra Painting Experience?
The Alhambra Painting Experience is a guided 5-day painting workshop in Granada, led by artist Daniel Fermor-Smith, who has lived in the city for over 20 years. You'll receive professional painting and drawing guidance while capturing breathtaking views of the Alhambra from a number of spectacular vantage points.
This art retreat is designed for all levels and welcomes participants who work with any medium-watercolors, acrylics, oils, pencil, or ink.

Art Retreat Itinerary Overview
This carefully curated itinerary gives you the time and space to develop your skills, connect with Granada’s cultural heritage, and produce your own stunning artwork.

Day 1: Painting the Alcazaba of the Alhambra from the southside.

Day 2: Painting the round pond in the Carmen de los Mártires.

Day 3: Painting Torre de La vela (Watchtower).

Day 4: Painting the Torre de la Cautiva (Tower of the Captive Princess).

Day 5: Painting the Alhambra from the northside.
Throughout the retreat, there are flexible opportunities for one-on-one instruction, group discussion, and solo practice.
The itinerary has been carefully designed to give maximum flexibility to the "independent traveller", that is for those who wish to choose how they travel and where they stay, and how much they wish to participate in the itinerary.
Daniel will be there to guide you, share his expert tips, and provide personalized instruction throughout the painting sessions.
